Skid Control Course Format

The day begins with a briefing to discuss the causes and remedies of skids and the discipline needed when driving in bad weather and adverse conditions.

The driving then commences. We have a maximum of 4 drivers on each course to ensure personal attention and maximum benefit.

The skid pan training course covers braking, abs, understeer, oversteer, skid control, traction control, aquaplaning and driving in bad weather. At all times the instructor will be present in the car explaining how to control every situation.

The course also includes an explanation and demonstration of all the latest technology available on todays vehicles.

Gaining Skid Control Skills

We will demonstrate how to both avoid and react to skids using both front and rear wheel drive cars on our wet tarmac skid pan.

Vehicles used are the new Mini Cooper (fwd) and BMW 3 series (rwd). Both are specially adapted for skid training.
